This full-time, on-site opportunity is ideal for experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) and highly qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) with robust school-based experience who are ready to make a lasting impact.

This contract role spans from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, providing a full academic year of enriching professional experience. You’ll manage a thoughtfully balanced caseload of approximately 70 students, with 30–40 receiving direct services and the remainder on consult, across 6–7 assigned schools within a designated zone—streamlining your daily commute. Students range in age from 3 to 21, offering an engaging variety of developmental and educational opportunities. The district utilizes SHARES and Onward for documentation, so familiarity with these (or willingness to learn) is an asset.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Texas
• Consideration given to COTAs with extensive school-based experience
• Must be available full-time (35 hours/week), Monday through Friday
• Strong understanding of ARDs, IEP documentation, evaluations, and consultative service delivery models
• Comfortable leading without COTA support; direct collaboration with district’s lead OT
• Able to organize a rotating student schedule for services (weekly, biweekly, every six weeks)
• District policy prohibits consideration of former district employees
• Willingness to complete any required fingerprinting for credentialing
