Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Home Care Specialist

Horizon Flex Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Palm Bay, Florida. This full-time position focuses on providing quality orthopedic care in a home care setting, empowering patients to regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life. Work Environment

This role is set in an onsite home care environment, where you will work closely with patients in the comfort of their homes. Our approach maximizes patient convenience and fosters a supportive atmosphere ideal for rehabilitation. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life scenario.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and collaboratively identify individual goals to create customized care plans aligned with their mobility and functional objectives.
• Conduct effective treatment sessions, providing hands-on therapy that may include manual techniques and therapeutic exercises, averaging 2-3 patients per hour.
• Leverage your expertise to provide cost-effective treatment strategies that enhance patient motion and mobility, effectively reducing reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
• Develop and implement fitness-oriented protocols that focus on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination tailored to each patient's unique recovery journey.
• Document all patient interactions, progress, and outcomes meticulously to maintain clear communication within the care team and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and coordinate comprehensive rehabilitative efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary clientele consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, including those seeking rehabilitation for conditions such as post-operative recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. You will be instrumental in guiding them through tailored rehabilitation protocols designed to promote restoration of functionality, independence, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapist License with no previous board or disciplinary actions against you.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise interventions.
• Competence in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, particularly with home care practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing fitness and wellness programs.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
