Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Payroll, the Payroll Specialist will support payroll operations for a multi-location organization by processing biweekly payroll, maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with payroll policies and regulations, and partnering with leaders to resolve payroll-related inquiries. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Enter, maintain, and process information in the payroll system; information may include employees hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholdings, address changes, and other information. Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions. Reconcile monthly benefit invoices to deductions. Issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge. Address any payroll inquiries while collaborating closely with HR and finance teams. Reconcile federal and state payroll tax deposits. Create and process reports for payroll audits and analysis. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years experience processing multi-state payroll High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Demonstrated ability to research data and extract meaningful information to ensure the accuracy of payroll information Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel or related software Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software Preferred Requirements Experience with ADP Workforce Now Previous experience in dental or healthcare Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k with Company Match, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Training and Development opportunities Free snacks!
