Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms associated with mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

• Develop individual treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, aspirations, and personal circumstances based on established therapeutic frameworks.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate healing and recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, therapy options, and effective self-care strategies to foster understanding and resilience.

• Track and document client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and adherence to best practices.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other health care providers to ensure holistic, integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to inform clinical practices and improve client services.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, participate in team meetings, and seek out ongoing professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders. You will have the unique opportunity to support a diverse clientele, including individuals from underserved populations such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Through your therapeutic interventions, you will help these clients navigate their challenges, promoting recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
