The Licensed Insurance Agent will meet with individuals, families, and small business clients to assess their health and financial protection needs and recommend appropriate health, Medicare, life, and supplemental insurance products. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, explaining policy options and benefits, preparing quotes, and supporting clients through the application and enrollment process. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of carrier offerings and regulatory requirements, following up with existing clients for renewals and coverage reviews, and documenting interactions and policy changes in accordance with company standards. Agents collaborate with internal teams, leverage the HealthMarkets technology platform, and participate in training and sales meetings to achieve performance goals and deliver high-quality customer experiences.QualificationsCandidates should possess skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance to effectively match clients with appropriate health, Medicare, life, and supplemental coverage.Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Brokerage and Finance to navigate multi-carrier offerings and discuss financial implications of coverage options.Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to provide clear guidance, build long-term client relationships, and support clients throughout the policy lifecycle.Active state insurance license (or eligibility to obtain one within a defined timeframe) in relevant lines of authority such as health, life, and accident.Previous experience in health or life insurance sales, brokerage, or related financial services is strongly preferred.Ability to work on-site in San Jose, CA, with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Comfort using digital tools and CRM or agency management systems to manage leads, client records, and follow-up activities.High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
