Silver, Arsht & Meinhardt is an established firm of 45 years located in Westlake Village, California, handling litigation and transactional real estate, corporate, trust and business matters for a diverse client base. Our firm is looking for a motivated career-minded attorney with litigation/transactional experience, who wants to take on real responsibility, with a personal goal for advancement. Candidates will be expected to take depositions, argue motions, structure and prepare documents and communicate directly with clients and build his/her book of business. Based on performance, there is a real proven track to partnership for the right person, with a firm that rewards initiative and the development of client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the State Bar of California in good standing.
• 2+ years of civil litigation/transactional experience; real estate, construction, business, or trust- litigation/transactional background is a strong plus.
• Excellent legal writing/analysis and oral-advocacy skills, with the business judgment to candidly counsel clients about cost and risk rather than just advocate a position.
• Ownership mentality — someone who wants to take on responsibility, build relationships, and grow with the firm.
• Ability to handle multiple active matters and deadlines and enjoys the diversity of the subject matter of the practice and the collaboration of working primarily in the office.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: Commensurate with experience, plus performance/origination bonus potential.
