• Duration: Open until perm hire, approximately ongoing
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7 days/week operational hours (8:00 AM 8:00 PM)
• Hours/Week: hours (3 shifts/week for 3 providers, total 9 shifts)
• Employment Type: Locum (potential to transition to perm)
• License/Certs: Virginia Nurse Practitioner License, BLS required
• Experience: Previous urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred, but adaptable based on candidate background

What You ll Do:

• Provide urgent care services to a diverse outpatient population
• Perform procedures including suturing, I&D, splinting, joint reductions, and minor burn management
• Interpret X-rays and EKGs, review rapid diagnostic tests for strep, flu, COVID-19, and RSV
• Manage airway support, including nebulizer treatments and emergency stabilization
• Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR
• See approximately 25-50 patients daily, based on patient flow and clinic size
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient patient care and safety

What You Need:

• Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
• BLS certification
• Urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred; adaptable candidates considered
• Strong procedural skills including suturing, I&D, splinting, and patient assessment
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment
