Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Additional Job Description Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Work Experience: At least 2 years of multi-modality experience. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT Advanced Modality Registration, and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Skill Sets: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate. Physical Requirements Ability to stand continuously, sit continuously, walk continuously, climb stairs infrequently. Ability to work indoors continuously, work outdoors in temperature extremes infrequently, work from elevated areas frequently, work in confined/cramped spaces frequently, work from kneeling positions infrequently. Ability to bend at the waist continuously, twist at the waist frequently, squat and perform job functions frequently. Ability to perform pinching operations frequently, gross motor activities with fingers and hands continuously, firm grasping with fingers and hands continuously, fine manipulation with fingers and hands continuously, reach overhead frequently, repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows/shoulders continuously. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted infrequently; lift 50 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted infrequently; lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs. infrequently; exert up to 50 lbs. of force frequently. Examples – transfer a 100 lb. patient unaided requires 50 lbs. of force; for every 100 lbs additional, assistance needed; 20 lbs. of force to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet; 25 lbs. to push a stretcher with one hand. Vision: maintain 20/40 corrected in one eye or both; see and recognize objects close and distant; match/discriminate colors; determine distance; good peripheral vision; hearing acuity with correction; perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements; deal with stressful situations continuously; work rotating shifts frequently; work overtime frequently; work in latex safe environment continuously.
