Business Excellence Engineer Co-Op

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Business Excellence Engineer Co-Op for an August-December 2026 internship in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. The role focuses on driving operational improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, reducing costs, and optimizing processes across assigned areas.
Responsibilities
- Execute continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and kaizen methodologies
- Develop and maintain value stream maps and process documentation for assigned operational areas
- Support cost reduction and inventory optimization initiatives while improving workflow alignment
- Create and manage visual management tools including dashboards, scorecards, and standard work documentation
- Conduct time studies and collaborate with operations teams on process enhancement initiatives
Requirements
- Currently pursuing bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, software engineering, technology, or related field
- Completed freshman year; currently in 3rd or 4th year of college with minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Proficient in Excel pivot tables, data analysis, and statistical tools
- Experience or knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and process mapping
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
- Permanent U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship required
