Accounting Associate

This position is responsible for providing high quality accounting services and personalized client support to a large client base across diverse industries, including but not limited to the production of financial reports, general ledger work, payroll, sales and business taxes, and account reconciliations. Responsibilities Perform general to complex accounting work, including account reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable and payable, year-end adjustments/closing work processes. Investigate and correct general ledger balance discrepancies, including comprehensive clean‑up work. Assist in preparing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Assist with conversions of client books to Quickbooks. Process payroll and payroll tax returns. Process monthly sales tax returns. Process business tax returns, annual reports, and personal property tax reports. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Skills Associate degree preferred, but not required. 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a CPA firm environment or client accounting services environment. Excellent understanding of accounting principles. Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop, Microsoft Office, and Outlook. Self‑motivated and able to handle a fast‑paced work environment independently or with a team. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; highly organized and able to multi-task.
