Senior Director Health Plans

The client is seeking a Senior Director - Health Plans to join its leadership team and engage health plans serving Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, and/or commercial members. The role focuses on unlocking existing healthcare dollars so plans can invest in healthy food, safe housing, and other drivers of health, with the intent to improve health outcomes while supporting economic incentives for payers and patients. The Senior Director - Health Plans will develop and advance strategies that are both creative and persuasive, envisioning how health plans can achieve these goals as the right and economically beneficial approach. The role includes leading cross-functional work with both program staff and related functions such as research and analytics, communications, and mobilization, working collaboratively with peer leaders to advance federal and state efforts related to health plan investments in prevention. The position will also support initiatives that redesign policies and increase preventive investments, drawing on demonstrated experience such as shifting payer dollars toward basic supports and enabling billing and payment mechanisms for screening and navigation tied to food and housing needs. The Senior Director will apply technical and strategic guidance to mobilize partners, align stakeholders around measurable outcomes, and help scale approaches that improve access to essentials while reducing avoidable utilization of higher-cost care.
