Senior SQL Engineer

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in SQL Server database engineering and enterprise data architecture.

• Proficiency in advanced T-SQL programming, stored procedures, indexing, and complex query optimization.

• Experience with designing robust ETL data pipelines utilizing SSIS to support enterprise data warehousing.

• Experience in CI/CD deployment automation and version control utilizing tools such as Jenkins and Git.

• Experience with the Microsoft .NET technology stack, Visual Studio IDEs, and LAMP stack environments.

• Experience in healthcare IT data standards, PBM/PPO integrations, and agile tracking utilizing Jira.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale complex SQL Server database schemas to support mission-critical enterprise healthcare systems.

• Engineer advanced T-SQL programmatic solutions, triggers, and robust indexing strategies to maximize data throughput.

• Execute rigorous query profiling, execution plan analysis, and database refactoring to eliminate system latency.

• Build and automate scalable ETL pipelines via SSIS to seamlessly ingest and transform high-volume data payloads.

• Integrate database deployment workflows and rollback strategies into continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Monitor live production environments and resolve overnight automated job failures to ensure continuous data continuity.

• Mentor junior developers through comprehensive peer code reviews and establish strict database engineering standards.
