Staff Accountant

We’re currently looking for a part‑time Staff Accountant to support our Back-Office team based in San Diego. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and supporting cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment. What You’ll Do: Assist with bank and account reconciliations to support month‑end and ongoing financial accuracy Support invoice processing, expense tracking, and documentation review Assist with basic journal entries and general ledger support Provide payroll support, including timesheet review and payroll reporting assistance Track monthly deposits and commissions in internal systems and spreadsheets Maintain organized financial records for audits and reporting Support new hire and contractor onboarding, including documentation and system setup Provide HR and operational administrative support as needed Coordinate equipment and laptop setup for new hires and contractors Manage travel and expense entries using Concur Assist with ad hoc operational and administrative tasks What We’re Looking For High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or finance support experience Familiarity with reconciliations, spreadsheets, or basic accounting processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with Concur, payroll systems, or accounting software is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work 15-20 hours a week Why This Role Flexibility with meaningful, hands‑on experience Exposure to finance, payroll, HR, and operations Supportive team environment with opportunities to learn and grow Ideal for candidates building a foundation in accounting or operations #J-18808-Ljbffr Shirley Parsons
