Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Conducting individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients throughout their treatment journey. Maintaining comprehensive and accurate client records, ensuring both written and electronic documentation is present and adheres to confidentiality standards. Coordinating services with partner agencies and conducting intake assessments to assist clients effectively. Researching and implementing best practices and innovative techniques for therapeutic assignments and projects as assigned by the supervisor. Preparing and delivering case presentations to clinical staff, contributing to a culture of learning and professional development. Writing case notes, conducting clinical assessments, and preparing individual treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate holistic approaches to client care, enhancing treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes. Engaging actively in group supervision sessions, providing feedback, and contributing to the growth of peers through sharing of experiences and challenges. Participating in team meetings and staff development exercises to stay informed on best practices and organizational initiatives. Identifying and utilizing agency resources for referrals and additional support as needed. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on diverse populations within the community, including individuals of varying ages, backgrounds, and mental health issues. Whether providing crisis intervention or ongoing therapeutic support, you will ensure that all clients are treated with respect, empathy, and professional integrity. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to build rapport quickly, fostering a sense of trust that promotes client engagement in their treatment process. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications: A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related fields is mandatory. A valid and active state license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) is required. A clean record with no history of medical malpractice claims, as verified by a third-party source. Authorization to work in the United States. Strong clinical skills combined with effective communication and interpersonal abilities to build necessary rapport with clients and colleagues. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, the following will be considered advantageous: Prior experience in community health settings or similar environments where collaboration and client-centered care are prioritized. Familiarity with electronic health record systems (EHR) and telehealth platforms that support virtual counseling. Participation in ongoing education or training programs relevant to mental health practices and patient care. Compensation and Benefits This role offers a competitive salary range between USD 52,000 to 105,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
