Work Environment

The role is situated in a modern surgical center, where you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Our onsite setting enhances team communication and allows for immediate access to a comprehensive array of medical resources, including diagnostic imaging and laboratory services. You'll work a Monday through Friday schedule, completing 40 hours per week with evening shifts starting at 5:00 PM, allowing for a work-life balance rarely seen in the healthcare field.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient examinations and meticulously review medical histories to assess health status.
• Order and interpret critical diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose and manage a diverse range of acute health issues, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate referrals.
• Formulate and implement targeted treatment plans for chronic illnesses, collaborating closely with patients to optimize their health journeys.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor their efficacy and potential side effects in alignment with evidence-based guidelines.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating smooth medical workflows.
• Educate patients and families about disease prevention, management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to support overall health.
• Support patient health by promoting preventative care practices, including vaccinations and routine screenings.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to research initiatives that enhance clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily engage with a diverse patient population featuring varied demographics and complex health issues. Focusing on both acute and chronic conditions, you will have the chance to make a profound impact on patients' health outcomes by delivering quality care tailored to their specific medical and personal needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant medical field with completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida, with a valid DEA license.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is required.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred, enhancing communication with our diverse patient community.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience in a surgical or urgent care setting.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems to facilitate efficient patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package, including:
