Core Care Medical Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urgent Care team located in Orlando, Florida. Work Environment

The position is based in a dynamic and fast-paced hospital setting where you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The work schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, spanning 40 hours per week with a focus on evening shifts starting at 5:00 PM. You will engage with patients in an urgent care setting, which demands quick thinking and efficient decision-making to address acute health issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, including taking detailed medical histories and performing physical assessments to evaluate the health status.
• Order and interpret a variety of diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, and other imaging studies to aid in the diagnosis and management of health conditions.
• Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions, including minor emergencies, ensuring rapid intervention for optimal patient care.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for chronic illnesses, with a focus on ongoing patient monitoring and adjustments based on response to interventions.
• Prescribe medications, reviewing their effectiveness and making necessary modifications to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with all health regulations and standards.
• Educate patients and their families about various health conditions, prevention strategies, and community health resources.
• Promote a culture of health and wellness, encouraging patients to adhere to preventative healthcare measures.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated with the latest medical research and best practices to provide the best patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Urgent Care department serves a diverse group of patients, including children, adults, and seniors, who require immediate attention for a variety of health concerns. You will encounter everything from common colds and minor injuries to more serious conditions requiring prompt management. A focus on cultural sensitivity and effective communication is essential in providing personalized care that meets the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid DEA number.
• Demonstrable experience in a clinical setting, particularly within urgent care, emergency room, or primary care environments.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient rights, and best practices in patient care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to connect with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Strong ethical commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to professional standards.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions during high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an urgent care or emergency department setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
