About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift. Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift). Float rotation within units of equivalent or lower acuity may be required, no more than once every 4 weeks.

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular ICU environment caring for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic ICU patients including CABG, valve repair, TAVR, heart/lung transplants, VAD implantation, and ECMO
• Manageable patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 based on acuity
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Advanced technology including ventricular assist devices, ECMO, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, and total artificial heart
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized therapy services
• Orientation period of 36 hours to ensure successful integration

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Required clinical skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz/PA line monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pumps (IABP), and hemodynamic monitoring
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
