Description

• Conduct assessments in both inpatient and outpatient environments and create tailored treatment plans for each patient
• Implement physical therapy interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities
• Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to ensure the best outcomes
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic goals, transition planning, and at-home exercises
• Record evaluations, treatments, and progress in line with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings for coordinated patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Preferred: CPR certification
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., in geriatrics or neurology) are a plus but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience is strongly encouraged
• Ability to treat patients with intricate medical and mobility challenges
