Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center offers a collaborative and supportive environment where you will work closely alongside a team of experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a strong work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and address patients' specific health goals and needs through comprehensive assessments.
• Manage an efficient patient load, typically treating 2-3 patients per hour while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating a variety of treatment modalities to maximize functional recovery.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and specific exercise regimens to enhance patient motion and mobility.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's treatment.
• Document patient care services accurately and maintain up-to-date records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation process to optimize their recovery outcomes.
• Actively promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventative care strategies among clients.
• Monitor and communicate patient progress effectively, adjusting care plans as necessary based on evaluations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves individuals seeking rehabilitation from orthopedic conditions. This includes athletes recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical patients, and those dealing with chronic pain. Your expertise in orthopedic outpatient treatments will be crucial in supporting a diverse client demographic. We emphasize building strong therapeutic relationships to foster trust and engagement in the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Current New York State Physical Therapist license with no disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated competency in manual therapy skills and therapeutic exercises.
• Experience using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates who have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in orthopedic outpatient settings. Familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy and successful outcomes from previous patient care engagements will enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
