Web Developer Support Tools

Salary: $80,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant web development experience
• Hands-on experience with HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
• Direct customer-facing support experience
• Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical colleagues
• Strong organization and follow-through, including responding to support team requests within the same business day
• Ability to write and maintain plain PHP and JavaScript without relying on a framework
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in an on-site environment
• Preferred: Experience with ticketing or customer support platforms such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, or HubSpot
• Preferred: Experience building and maintaining API integrations between business applications
• Preferred: Automated testing experience with tools such as PHPUnit or JavaScript testing frameworks
• Preferred: Regular, responsible use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Codex, or GitHub Copilot
• Candidates are encouraged to include a GitHub profile, portfolio, or relevant code samples with their application
• Local candidates or candidates able to reliably commute to Clearwater are preferred

• Build, enhance, and maintain internal tools and integrations for our customer service operations
• Work with our customer support leaders to identify workflow challenges and recommend practical improvements
• Receive, evaluate, and prioritize support team requests based on urgency and business impact
• Maintain existing support tools built with PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Develop API integrations among ticketing, customer service, and other business systems
• Write and maintain automated tests for new and existing tools
• Troubleshoot defects, document solutions, and help ensure our internal applications operate reliably
• Communicate progress, tradeoffs, and technical recommendations clearly to nontechnical stakeholders
• Deliver reliable tools and integrations that reduce friction for our customer support team
• Prioritize competing requests clearly and communicate about them in a timely manner
• Maintain code and automated tests that support stable day-to-day operations
• Build strong working relationships with support leaders and develop practical solutions grounded in customer service workflows

We are hiring a mid-level Web Developer to improve the internal tools and integrations used by our customer support team, working closely with support leaders and other internal teams. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Clearwater, Florida facility, combining focused development work with regular collaboration. The annual pay range is $80,000 to $100,000. The role requires comfort writing plain PHP and JavaScript without a framework, as well as customer support experience.
