Accounting Supervisor

SNI Companies is seeking a collaborative and experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting operations in our fast-paced aerospace and defense manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and ensuring financial accuracy in a highly regulated environment. In this role, you will lead a team of accounting professionals, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in maintaining compliance with government contracting regulations while supporting the company’s continued growth. Key Responsiblities: Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting functions. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of six accounting professionals, including one Accountant, three Specialists, and two Paraprofessionals. Manage weekly cash forecasting, vendor payment processing, and customer collections. Coordinate and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Ensure compliance with applicable government contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain and enhance internal controls to support financial integrity and audit readiness. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiencies, and strengthen financial reporting. Partner with cross-functional leaders to support operational and strategic business initiatives. Coordinate internal and external audit activities and provide required documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or CMA certification preferred. 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience. 2-3 years of experience leading and developing accounting teams. Strong manufacturing accounting experience is required. Experience within aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments is highly preferred. Thorough understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr SNI Companies
