Job Summary:
The Patient Care Coordinator coordinates patient care and access to healthcare services. The role works with patients, families, physicians, insurance companies, and hospital departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient admissions, diagnostic procedures, and medical services .
• Schedule epilepsy surgical workups and inpatient admissions .
• Coordinate services with physicians and other hospital departments.
• Verify insurance requirements, pre-authorizations, and reimbursement procedures .
• Facilitate patient access to appropriate healthcare services.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and medical staff.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures while maintaining accurate patient information.
• Use knowledge of medical terminology, insurance coverage, and healthcare processes to support patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a medically related or public relations field.
• 2+ years of experience in a tertiary patient care setting.
• Experience interacting with patients, families, physicians, and multiple medical services .
• Proficiency in medical terminology .
• Excellent attendance record.
