Customer Service & Production Planning Coordinator

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Customer Service & Production Planning Coordinator to support customer order management, production planning, materials coordination, and delivery scheduling within a manufacturing environment.

This position serves as an important link between customers and internal departments, including Production, Procurement, Materials, and Shipping . The ideal candidate will have experience working with customer orders, forecasts, ERP/MRP systems, inventory, production requirements, or material planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and verify customer purchase orders and sales orders.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, schedules, deliveries, and changes.
• Monitor customer orders through B2B systems and customer portals.
• Track customer schedules and communicate changes that may impact production or delivery requirements.
• Enter and maintain customer forecasts and demand information in the ERP system.
• Review forecasts, releases, and sales orders for changes in customer demand.
• Compare forecasted demand against actual customer orders and identify significant changes or variances.
• Communicate demand changes to Production, Procurement, Materials, Shipping, and other affected departments.
• Support material and production planning by maintaining accurate and timely demand information.
• Help identify potential material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and customer delivery risks.
• Maintain customer demand, planning, and order reports.
• Coordinate subcontracted production parts to ensure materials are shipped, processed, and returned according to customer requirements.
• Monitor subcontract inventory and assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Support supplier orders and scheduling of raw material deliveries as needed.
• Monitor material availability against production and customer requirements.
• Communicate supplier delays or material shortages that could impact customer schedules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, order management, production planning, material planning, purchasing, or supply chain coordination.
• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with customer orders, forecasts, production requirements, inventory, or material requirements .
• ERP/MRP system experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate order and planning information.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to recognize and communicate potential scheduling, material, or delivery issues.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has experience supporting customers in a manufacturing or production environment and understands how customer orders and forecasts affect materials, production schedules, inventory, and shipping. Candidates with backgrounds in production planning, materials coordination, order management, production control, supply chain, or manufacturing customer service are encouraged to apply.
