Position: Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C)

This is a full-time, temporary to hire position available to both local and non-local candidates in Washington state. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a cardiology clinic, potentially leading to a permanent role at the end of the contract period.

Schedule

Shift: Day 4x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM)
Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (with possible Tuesday shifts)
Weekends: Off

Qualifications

Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) certification is required.
Preferred: 6 months of experience as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic; cardiology experience is a plus.
First-timers are accepted.

Required Skills

Vital Signs: Obtain and record vital signs (height, weight, pulse oximetry).
Prepare for Examination: Positioning/draping, recording history, medications, and allergies.
Injections: Administration of immunizations.
Laboratory Tests: Blood glucose testing via glucometer.
Office Duties: Chart preparation, stocking supplies, and telephone triage.
Professional Knowledge: Administering medication and conducting follow-up calls.
Patient Care: Rooming patients and scheduling appointments.

Scrub Color: Solid dark (no prints).
Charting: Experience with EPIC is preferred.

Special Notes

The candidate must have reliable transportation (public transportation is not accepted).
Flexibility in scheduling is important, including the potential for floating to other locations as needed.
