GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT

Job Details Job Location: Main Location – Mount Pocono, PA 18344 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Any Overview The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for the highest level of cleanliness of guest rooms, ensuring superior service to all patrons and guests of the Hotel/Casino. The Guest Room Attendant will conform to all Housekeeping standards and perform all duties within the guidelines of Mount Airy Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control standards, and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations. Responsibilities Promotes positive guest, employee and public relations at all times. Responsible for the quality, consistency and presentation of all products and services delivered to guests. Services a minimum of 14 guest rooms during an assigned shift. Responsible for all aspects of cleanliness, orderliness and replacement of all amenities for all assigned guest rooms, paying attention to all details according to established procedures and standards; removes and replaces all soiled linens. Performs turndown functions as assigned. Complies with Do Not Disturb notices and follows all procedures when entering an occupied guest room. Promptly reports any maintenance needs, damages, missing guest or hotel items or guest needs to supervision. Replenishes supplies, maintains a clean cart fully and neatly stocked with linens and supplies. Secures any items left behind and promptly turns items over to supervision. Responsible for the security of assigned room keys. Participates in daily inspections with supervision as necessary. Immediately upon completion of checked out rooms, dials in the clean and vacant status. Completes reports as required. Assists in other projects and handles job tasks as deemed appropriate. Attends meetings as necessary. Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures, including OSHA standards and regulations. Qualifications MUST be able to perform each of the essential functions and responsibilities satisfactorily. MUST be a minimum 18 years of age or older upon employment. High School Diploma or equivalent required. One year of Hospitality/Housekeeping experience preferred. Possesses excellent customer service and communication skills. Possesses strong interpersonal qualities. Flexible to work any scheduled shifts and/or days, including weekends and holidays. Ability to perform basic calculations. MUST be approved for and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Gaming License, if necessary. Adequate manual dexterity, including hand and wrist movement to operate equipment, perform cleaning functions and engage in lifting, pushing or pulling up to seventy-five (75) pounds. Other Skills/Abilities Must be able to handle exposure to areas where smoking is permitted. Must be able to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals. Must be able to read labels. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must have oral and aural acuity and ability to respond to cues.
