Quality InspectorLocation: Rockford, ILShift: 5:00 am to 2:30 pm M-F, Saturdays 4:30 am to 11 amResponsibilities:Checking parts to make sure they are in compliance with customer specifications.Documenting checks and processes.Checks may be made on the floor (periodic inspection) or in the quality lab (first piece, etc.).Work with all levels of staff inside and outside the organization.Update computer systems as required.Required Skills:Blueprint readingMeasurement tools and techniquesMath / conversions / fractionsInterpersonal relationships (working with customers, coworkers, engineers, operators etc.)Computers and ScannersMust Have Skills:Attention to detailEnjoys following a process / stepsEnjoys learning – will take free time as an opportunity to read or ask questions / trainEnjoys following listsLooks for ways to improve thingsWilling to go where needed based on the department's needs that day / momentGood judgement / rationalization / logicHelpful Experience:Worked in industry / manufacturing beforeMeasurement with analog instruments and not only digitalExperience with CMM and GD&TCollege or trade courses in quality controlPhysical Demands:Ability to be on feet (standing and walking) all dayLifting regularly up to 25 – 30 lbs. Most parts will be lighter than this, but we also have some heavier that may require lifting up to 50 lbs.Eyesight for seeing close detailsOK with being in the shop or in the quality dept depending on what's needed
