Account Director , Public Relations (Beauty, Wellness & Lifestyle) We’re looking for a sharp, connected, and highly motivated Account Director to lead press strategy and client relationships across a dynamic roster of beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and culture-driven brands. This is an opportunity for a PR professional who thrives at the intersection of pop culture, media, talent, and brand storytelling. You’ll shape compelling narratives, build meaningful visibility for clients, and guide high-impact campaigns that earn attention across traditional media, digital platforms, podcasts, newsletters, social-first outlets, and beyond. Location: NYC Schedule: 5 days in office Salary: $140-170k (plus commission potential and benefits) What You’ll Do Lead the development and execution of strategic PR programs for beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands. Drive earned media results across print, digital, broadcast, social-first media, podcasts, and emerging platforms. Translate brand positioning into culturally relevant stories, launches, and moments that resonate with editors, creators, and audiences. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers, creators, and digital tastemakers. Oversee pitches, press releases, media alerts, executive narratives, and other communications materials. Lead seasonal pitching calendars, product launches, affiliate media initiatives, and talent-led campaigns. Serve as a trusted day-to-day client partner—leading status calls, providing proactive counsel, and managing priorities with confidence. Guide budgets, timelines, reporting, and deliverables while ensuring exceptional client service. Mentor and support junior team members, helping elevate strategic thinking and execution across accounts. Collaborate with social, digital, experiential, and creative teams to build integrated campaign ideas. Contribute to new-business efforts and agency-wide creative brainstorming. What You Bring 7+ years of PR, media relations, or integrated communications experience; agency experience is strongly preferred. A strong background in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, fashion, entertainment, or other culture-forward categories. A proven track record of securing meaningful earned media across top-tier national, digital, and broadcast outlets. Established relationships with editors, writers, producers, creators, and media decision-makers. Experience with affiliate media, social-first platforms, talent or celebrity initiatives, and emerging media formats. Excellent writing, client-management, presentation, and organizational skills. A collaborative leadership style and experience mentoring junior talent. Strong instincts for what is timely, relevant, and conversation-worthy in pop culture and media.
