Project Manager (Oracle Fusion)

Location: Fairfax, VA Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)

USC/GC only

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale ERP transformation initiative for a major higher education institution in Northern Virginia.

The program involves migrating Human Capital Management (HCM) and Finance operations from Oracle PeopleSoft to Oracle Fusion Cloud while supporting ongoing integration

with the student information environment across multiple campuses.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project planning, scheduling, execution, and delivery across business and technology teams.
Establish governance structures, project plans, reporting cadence, and stakeholder communications.
Manage scope, timelines, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Coordinate activities among executive sponsors, business units, technical teams, and implementation partners.
Facilitate steering committee meetings, status reviews, and executive updates.
Support solution design reviews, readiness activities, business validation, and approvals.
Oversee data migration planning, reconciliation efforts, and issue resolution.
Drive testing activities include system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Coordinate cutover planning, go-live readiness assessments, and contingency planning.
Lead stabilization and post-production support efforts following deployment.
Manage dependencies related to Oracle Fusion, PeopleSoft, integrations, reporting, and analytics platforms.
Track vendor performance, milestones, deliverables, and budget utilization.
Maintain project documentation supporting governance, compliance, and audit requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience managing enterprise applications or large-scale IT projects.
Demonstrated success leading ERP, HCM, Finance, or cloud transformation initiatives.
Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle PeopleSoft, or comparable ERP platforms.
Experience managing project schedules, RAID logs, budgets, reporting, and formal change control.
Strong stakeholder management experience across business, technical, executive, and vendor groups.
Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation activities.
PMP or equivalent project management certification .

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within higher education, public sector, or complex multi-entity organizations .
Knowledge of governance, procurement, funding oversight, compliance, and audit processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Excel, Teams, and related project management tools.
