Our vision is to transform JM Sports into a recognizable sports media brand delivering entertaining, insightful, and highly engaging content to sports fans nationwide.

We're looking for an exceptional Sports Content Producer & Video Editor to help lead this expansion by developing creative video concepts, writing compelling scripts, and producing high-quality short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X.

This is an opportunity to play a major role in shaping the content strategy of a growing sports brand.

The Role

We're looking for someone who understands what makes sports content engaging, how to capture attention within the first few seconds, and how to turn viewers into loyal followers.

I will personally be the on-camera host and face of JM Sports.

I will provide sports knowledge, statistics, research, analysis, and personal opinions. Your responsibility will be to transform that information into compelling, entertaining content that sports fans genuinely want to watch.

Ideally, you can manage the entire creative process, including:

• Developing original content ideas and identifying trending sports topics.

• Writing entertaining, attention-grabbing scripts.
\n
• Providing creative direction for on-camera recordings.
\n
• Editing raw footage into professional, engaging videos.
\n
• Incorporating sports visuals, statistics, graphics, animations, and captions.
\n
• Developing a consistent content strategy to grow our audience.
\n

IMPORTANT: While we prefer someone who can handle both content development and video editing, we are also open to candidates who specialize exclusively in content strategy, ideation, and scriptwriting.

If you're an exceptional sports content strategist or scriptwriter but don't offer video editing, we strongly encourage you to apply. We can hire a separate editor to handle production.

Key Responsibilities1. Content Strategy & Creative Development

• Develop original video concepts around NFL, NBA, college football, and other major sporting events.
\n
• Identify trending stories, surprising statistics, bold opinions, compelling matchups, and timely news.
\n
• Research successful sports creators, content trends, and proven short-form formats.
\n
• Develop recurring content series that establish a recognizable JM Sports identity.
\n
• Create a consistent weekly content calendar.
\n
• Build a strategy focused on organic views, followers, engagement, and newsletter subscribers.
\n

2. Scriptwriting & Storytelling

\n
• Write compelling, natural-sounding scripts for me to deliver on camera.
\n
• Develop strong opening hooks that immediately capture attention.
\n
• Transform sports statistics, research, and opinions into entertaining stories.
\n
• Create content that encourages comments, shares, and discussion.
\n
• Write effective calls to action that encourage followers and newsletter subscriptions.
\n
• Adapt scripts to my personality and speaking style.
\n

Our content should feel authentic and entertaining, not overly scripted or promotional.

3. Video Production & Editing (Preferred, Not Required)

For candidates offering video production services:

• Edit raw on-camera footage into polished, professional short-form videos.
\n
• Add captions, motion graphics, animations, statistics, sound effects, and properly licensed sports visuals.
\n
• Use creative editing techniques to maximize viewer retention.
\n
• Provide guidance on filming, delivery, and recording setups.
\n
• Maintain consistent JM Sports branding.
\n
• Optimize videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X.
\n
• Deliver finished, ready-to-publish content consistently.
\n

Candidates specializing exclusively in content strategy and scriptwriting are not required to provide editing services.

4. Audience Growth & Performance

• Help develop JM Sports into a recognizable sports media brand.

• Create content that reaches audiences beyond our existing customer base.
\n
• Analyze views, watch time, audience retention, engagement, shares, and follower growth.
\n
• Identify successful formats and continuously improve our content strategy.

• Help convert social media engagement into newsletter subscribers and long-term followers.

• Daily Sports Analysis: NFL, NBA, college football, and major sporting events.

• Trending Sports News: Reactions to trades, injuries, performances, and breaking stories.

• Bold Sports Opinions: Strong, evidence-based takes that encourage debate.

• Interesting Statistics: Surprising facts, historical comparisons, and lesser-known trends.

• Matchup Breakdowns: Team advantages, player performances, and predictions.
\n
• Sports Betting Education: Odds, line movements, trends, and sports analytics.

• Postgame Reactions: Breaking down major games and unexpected results.

• Original Content Series: Recognizable, recurring video formats audiences look forward to.

We do not want our content to feel like a continuous advertisement for sports picks.

Our goal is to build a sports media account that people genuinely enjoy following, whether or not they ever purchase anything from JM Sports.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience developing engaging short-form social media content.
\n
• Strong knowledge of American sports, particularly NFL, NBA, and college football.
\n
• Excellent storytelling, creative thinking, and scriptwriting skills.
\n
• Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
\n
• Ability to turn sports research and statistics into entertaining content.
\n
• Ability to independently develop original ideas and content strategies.
\n
• Strong communication, organization, creativity, and reliability.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Experience working with sports media brands, sports creators, or podcasts.
\n
• Portfolio of high-performing short-form content with measurable results.
\n
• Experience growing social media accounts organically.
\n
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar software.
\n
• Motion graphics, animation, and video production experience.
\n
• Familiarity with sports betting, odds, and analytics.
\n

Expected Workload & Collaboration

Our goal is to produce approximately 15–20 short-form videos per week , primarily 30–60 seconds each.

We're open to starting with fewer videos while refining our process and scaling over time.

Our anticipated workflow:

1. You develop creative video ideas and trending topics.
\n
2. We collaborate on sports research, statistics, and talking points.
\n
3. You write engaging, ready-to-record scripts.
\n
4. I record myself delivering the scripts on camera.
\n
5. You edit the footage into professional videos, or we work with a separate editor.
\n
6. We review performance and continuously improve our strategy.
\n

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, works independently, and contributes creative ideas proactively.

We're looking for exceptional creative talent and are willing to invest in the right person.

• Content Strategy & Scriptwriting: $2,000–$4,000/month
\n
• Full Content Production (Strategy, Scriptwriting & Video Editing): $3,000–$6,000+/month
\n

Compensation will depend on experience, demonstrated results, availability, and scope of work.

We're open to hourly, project-based, or monthly retainer arrangements.

This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to grow into a larger creative leadership role as JM Sports expands.
