Licensed Practical Nurse – Mental Health (Part Time) University Correctional Health Care (UCHC), part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide mental health nursing services at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton, NJ. Overview UCHC is dedicated to excellence in providing physical, mental health, dental, and sex offender treatment services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system in New Jersey. Responsibilities Participate in data collection related to patients’ status and needs. Provide input to the Registered Nurse for incorporation into the plan of care. Deliver direct patient care within scope of practice to ensure implementation of the plan of care. Inform and instruct patients and significant others on patient health, illness state, and plan of care. Assist patients and significant others in preparation for discharge and health maintenance at home. Document all aspects of patient care. Qualifications Valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Current CPR certification. Valid Driver’s License and ownership of a vehicle or alternative means of transportation from one site to another. At least six (6) months of experience in an acute hospital setting (preferred). Salary Grade 215. Minimum salary: $32,520 per year; mid‑range salary: $33,020 per year; maximum salary: $34,010 per year. Benefits Medical, prescription drug, and dental coverage.
