We are seeking a Rental Management Trainee, a fast‑paced program touching every aspect of the business unit. The program lasts 18‑24 months and provides industry knowledge and skills to build relationships. You will support operational and administrative tasks at the location and regional level. Location and Schedule Shop Location: Ronkonkoma, NY Hours: First Shift, 8am – 4pm Schedule: Monday – Friday Salary: Paid Weekly Education Bachelor’s Degree required (Business Administration or a related field). Responsibilities Essential Functions Handling sales and process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation. Maintaining current and accurate data within the company’s marketing database. Generating rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads. Managing all rental asset processes, including vehicle PM and cleanliness standards. Meeting Ryder market share goals by executing sales and marketing initiatives. Maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Reconciling customer concerns, issues, and disputes to sustain relationships and grow the customer base. Additional Responsibilities On a voluntary basis and as needed, serve as an On‑Call Representative based on the supervisor’s schedule. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal communication. Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. High energy, self‑motivated, self‑directed, able to manage multiple projects. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑up practices. Common sense and aptitude to learn quickly. Willingness to relocate within the region/US at the conclusion of the training program. Computer literate (intermediate skill level). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related degree. One year or more of customer service with issue resolution experience preferred. Computer literate (intermediate).
