We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals.JOB SUMMARY:Under general direction, the National Business Development Manager responsible for developing, implementing andexecuting strategies for new revenue generation in the assigned industry. Calls on prospect customers at all levels of theclient organization (C-level, Procurement, Field Service, etc.), assesses customer needs, develops proposals (includingcustomized and complex technical bids), establishes new customers as national accounts, and provides technical support postsale. Achieves financial targets. Accountable for leading cross-functional teams with a thorough technical and commercialknowledge of all phases of the sales cycle. Provides guidance to personnel with less knowledge in solving complex problems.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience· 5 years of sales experience selling directly into the assigned industry· Ability to travel up to 50%PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:· Significant established relationships in assigned industry· 5 years of matrix or cross-functional leadership experience in SalesESSENTIAL DUTIES:80% · Develops and implements strategic sales plan focused on new revenue generation. Expands Generac business in new areas. · Develops broad and deep relationships with new customers. · Negotiates and closes contracts. · Grows revenue in assigned industry vertical, achieves contribution margin target. · Implements placement of new and existing products and programs with prospective customers. · Supervises the involvement of cross-functional personnel within Generac to meet performance objectives and customer expectations. · Drives customer service execution to ensure issue resolution.
