Senior Implementation Engineers at Air have a quantitative mindset and firm understanding of how to use technology and data to solve hard customer problems. Senior Implementation Engineers are responsible for developing new methodologies to answer client questions with Air's data, leveraging quantitative skills to configure Air's technology to achieve customer outcomes, communicate data-driven insights to executives in the national security community, and oversee cross-functional teams to produce compelling program insights, data visualization, and briefings. In order to do this job well, you must be analytical, understand people, have a strong drive to use technology to solve the hardest problems, have business acumen, and want to learn everything, particularly about the most pressing national security challenges confronting the nation and how data and machine learning can help address them. You understand the US Government and Defense acquisition processes and the importance of effective and efficient program management, supply chain risk management, and program and technology modernization. You ask hard, uncomfortable questions. You have a professional acumen that allows you to lead conversations with top government agency officials. You know there are always multiple answers to hard problems, and you know how to engage in a constructive dialogue to find the best path forward. This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.This role requires 60% travel to client sites across the United States - CONUS and OCONUSScope of ResponsibilitiesDevelop expertise in Air's clients, offerings and data, and support customers as a Air product and data expertExecute the successful implementation of software and data to Air's customers and provide platform trainingUse coding languages (SQL, Python) to conduct technical platform configuration and data integrationBuild and manage client relationshipsLead execution teams and/or workstreamsCollaborate with Air Engagement Managers and Product Managers to capture market demand and user needs for inclusion into Air's offeringsProactively drive utilization of the product using targeted training and engagement strategies that drive mission outcomes and analytical insights for platform usersDevelop and maintain documentation such as tailored user guide reference materialsConduct research and develop quantitative analytic reports using Air technology and dataOrally and visually present data-driven findings in a concise and compelling manner to internal teams, as well as government officialsDemonstrate knowledge in areas such as US Government programs and operations, federal acquisitions and program management, government procurement practices, supplier assurance, federal contracting, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), Supply Chain Risk Management, and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis.Depending on your background and expertise, you could also be responsible for:Provide technical workflow development and configurationCommunicate data-driven insights to executives in the national security spaceConduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses on problems of importance to U.S. national security community using data visualization, compelling written paper and briefingsProvide product demonstrations in support of sales pursuits effortsMentor team members to increase skill and domain expertiseQualificationsU.S. Citizenship is requiredBachelor's Degree in International Relations, Political Science, International Security, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or similar fields, or 3-7 years of equivalent experienceRequired Skills:Strong familiarity/skills with SQL, Python, and/or R. Familiarity with other skills such as Excel, React, Typescript, Java, C, GoLang.6-10 years experience performing national security-related analytics; preference for research, quantitative analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization skillsKnowledge of defense acquisition life cycle and program management, technology scouting, and supply chain risk managementHistory of engaging with and presenting to federal Government stakeholdersExcellent professional demeanor with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone in a fast-paced environment without hesitationStrong aptitude for solving open-ended issues in unpredictable, unstructured environmentsOutstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple work-streams and projects, learn quickly, and work independently with little supervisionDesired Skills:Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorshipExperience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environmentMaster's degree in International Relations, Political Science, International Security, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or similar fields3-7 years of experience in user support or user engagement with a focus on platform and product utilizationExperience with advisory services, software-as-a-service (SaaS), information services, analytic tools, or data analytics industriesDemonstrated ability to conduct relevant business case studies and market analysis using internal and open-source data sourcesWe firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future performance.
