Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities Daily Accounting Operations Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations Ensure daily transactions, including cash receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, marketing, payroll, and intercompany allocations, are recorded properly Perform timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany allocations Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including fiscal year-end close activities and verifying all entries have been created and posted Maintain and balance inter-entity accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies Review and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating discrepancies and taking appropriate action to resolve them Assist with audit coordination and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, supporting the completion of external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing requested information Ensure all finance and accounting operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable federal and state laws and regulations Process Improvement Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency Continually seek and implement opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology, including training staff to better utilize financial and accounting software Identify opportunities to improve the accounting close process and implement best practices through consolidation, analysis, and streamlined productivity, utilizing automation tools where feasible Qualifications Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting required; CPA certification preferred Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in accounting, preferably within a multi-location Specialized Experience: Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Exposure to auditing, SEC reporting, and internal control documentation in accordance with SOX compliance is preferred.
