Job Summary The Accounts Payable Clerk supports the Corporate Accounts Payable Department and is responsible for gathering, routing, coding, and processing invoices from vendors, as well as, expense reports from employees and/or contractors. The position requires a general understanding of the accounts payable function, demonstrated by prior success in a similar role. Essential Functions Review, distribute, monitor and request management approval(s) for invoices Code vendor invoices to the appropriate GL expense line and process through ImageNow Process check disbursement, match vouchers with invoices, and mail disbursement and remittance documentation Request ACH payments and set up vendors to be paid by ACH Serve as a point of contact for vendors and internal clients for inquiries related to accounts payable activity Perform monthly closings Ensure invoices are paid on a timely basis and effectively monitor and follow up on invoices placed on hold Ensure expense reports and statement reports are processed and paid on a timely basis in Concur. This includes the following: verifying expenses are in accordance with Company policy, expenses are accurate and agree to receipts, and GL coding is appropriate. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred) Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred 0-2 years Related accounting experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work in a team environment Strong organizational skills Basic knowledge of accounting software systems, such as JD Edwards and ImageNow, is a plus Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) Ability to learn new software platforms Ability to work in a fast-paced continually changing work environment ImageNow (or similar AP automation software) is a plus Concur Travel and Expense is a plus Pay Scale: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
