HR Generalist

The HR Generalist serves as a key member of the Human Resources team, providing operational and administrative HR support across the organization. This role is responsible for managing the HR shared inbox and responding to employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, processes, and employee transactions. The HR Generalist handles a high volume of HR requests and data entry activities within the HRIS, ensuring employee records are accurate and updated in a timely manner.


Primary responsibilities include processing employee lifecycle transactions such as job changes, supervisor changes, internal transfers, terminations, and benefits-related updates. The HR Generalist partners closely with HR Business Partners, supporting the execution of HR processes while ensuring a positive employee experience and adherence to company policies. While employee relations investigations and workplace concerns are managed by the HR Business Partner team, the HR Generalist is responsible for the associated administrative processing and documentation.


This role also manages unemployment claims, maintains employee records, supports HR workflows, and ensures requests are completed accurately and within established service-level expectations. Success in this position requires the ability to quickly learn HR systems and processes, manage multiple priorities, and understand the urgency behind employee-related requests. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness and accuracy are critical.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading employee relations investigations
• Experience handling workplace complaints, conflict resolution, and performance management matters
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment practices, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• UKG experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience partnering with legal counsel on employee relations or compliance matters
• Process improvement and HR operations optimization experience
Experience supporting large, multi-site organizations or distributed workforces
