About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its Group AI organization. This executive will be the operational backbone of the newly unified AI entity, driving strategic execution, owning the operating model, and leading the most significant workforce transformation in the firm's history. The COO will partner with the Group Head of AI to establish and execute team-wide operating plans, ensure the delivery of AI programs across all pillars, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Financial management is a key responsibility, including acting as the end-to-end owner of the AI budget, leading ROI forecasting, and managing the approval process for hiring and discretionary spend. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in workforce transformation, partnering with HR on talent strategy, and championing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Applicants for the COO role at the company's Group AI organization should have a minimum of 15 years' leadership experience in financial services, with a focus on strategy, transformation, or large-scale operational change in a regulated environment. The role requires a seasoned operator with a proven track record in running large-scale transformation programs, strong financial acumen, and fluency in workforce and talent management. The ideal candidate will be a disciplined executor with a process-oriented approach, possess technology and AI acumen, and have a comprehensive understanding of risk and compliance in global banking. The COO will be expected to be a low-ego integrator, with excellent influence and communication skills, and a bias to action. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
