Goldberg Segalla has an immediate opportunity for a Billing Specialist in its Buffalo office. Summary: The Billing Specialist will be responsible for daily review and submission of a high volume of billing, including electronic billing to various vendors. This individual must become familiar with and follow existing Firm billing policies and procedures. They must be able to communicate professionally with internal and external clients, attorneys and paralegals. Candidate will be working closely with other departments within a large Accounting team and should possess good team building skills. They must be comfortable working in a fast pace, deadline driven environment. Strong follow-up skills and communication is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Review, edit and finalize invoices in firm's accounting software
• Coordinate and track invoices to ensure billing cycle completion
• Process and submit invoices to clients in various manners, including electronically
• Manage the invoice process in several ebilling sites as well as firm ebilling tools.
• Communicate daily with attorneys, staff and other accounting department teams.
• Perform administrative work related to the position, including document management, email and faxing.
• Assist the department supervisor and other staff with various tasks related to billing

Experience/Requirements:

• At least two (2) years of billing, accounts receivable and/or accounting experience preferred
• Law Firm experience is desirable but not required
• Experience with Electronic Billing is preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, forward thinking and creative
• Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and ownership of assigned work
• Works well in team environment
• Computer skills including understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Candidate should be motivated with the goal of becoming a long-term asset within the organization

Benefits:

The hourly salary range for this position is $20 to $26. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.
