Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-26 week contract. Every other weekend required (12-16 weekend shifts per contract). Patient ratio 1:5-6.

Highlights:

• Multi-level medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring and diverse patient populations including COVID isolation areas
• Common diagnoses include diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleed, hip fracture, CHF, UTI, and post-surgical recovery cases
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• 24-hour unit orientation with comprehensive onboarding program
• Floating required to other units as needed based on facility census
• Contract staff assigned to Storm/Hurricane Team response for emergency preparedness

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• North Carolina or Compact state RN license (pending acceptable at submission)
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central/PICC line care, wound care, chest tube management, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems
• Experience with COVID isolation protocols, blood product administration, and rapid response team utilization
• Preferred: Epic charting experience, port access, insulin management, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation
