Interim Chief Financial Officer

Provide steady financial leadership during the transition to a permanent CFO. Partner closely with the CEO, Controller, leadership team, and private-equity or board stakeholders. Support, mentor, and provide executive-level direction to the existing accounting and finance organization. Maintain accountability, communication, and continuity across the finance function without disrupting a strong Controller-led accounting team. Financial Reporting and Performance Management Oversee the preparation, review, and quality control of the monthly financial reporting package. Evaluate the company’s current financial package, including an extensive Power BI-enabled monthly reporting process, and identify opportunities to improve clarity, consistency, and executive usefulness. Develop and present meaningful performance analytics, operating metrics, trends, and business insights. Translate financial and operational data into clear recommendations for the CEO, board, and business leaders. Prepare and deliver board-level financial presentations. Budgeting and Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with operational and functional leaders. Strengthen forecasting, performance tracking, and variance analysis. Ensure budgets and forecasts appropriately reflect the company’s growth expectations, acquisition activity, and operational priorities. M&A and Integration Provide finance leadership for an active acquisition pipeline, including three businesses currently under letter of intent and multiple potential closings expected in the coming months. Support financial diligence, transaction planning, closing activities, and post-close integration. Coordinate with internal leaders and outside advisors to ensure new acquisitions are incorporated into the company’s reporting, systems, controls, and operating processes.
