Manuel Diaz Law Firm, PC. is a multi-practice law firm dedicated to guiding and empowering our community through exceptional legal services. We are seeking a self-motivated, bilingual (English/Spanish) Paralegal to join our Family Law Department.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The Paralegal will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney. Other responsibilities include:

• Provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office efficiency.
• Handle communications with clients, witnesses, and other parties.
• Proactively maintain regular communication with clients to build trust and provide timely updates.
• Locate, organize, and develop relevant case information.
• Prepare, file, and maintain legal documents and correspondence.
• Assist with obtaining and organizing documents from clients
• Answer and direct phone calls
• Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars
• Translations (In-office and Out-of-Office)
• Draft Waiver of Service, Pleadings, Motions, Orders, Rule 11 Agreements, Correspondence, etc. 
• Other duties may be assigned by the Family Paralegal Supervisor, Associate Attorney, Managing Attorney for the Family Department, or the Chief Legal Officer.

 

Qualifications & Skills :

• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; Adobe Acrobat)
• Proficiency in English and Spanish
• Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
• Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
• Three (3) or more years’ experience as a paralegal or equivalent legal support role (preferred)
• Experience with divorces, SAPCR, custody, child support, modification, and enforcement matters (preferred)

Hourly Pay : Competitive hourly pay based on relevant experience.
