Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina SPED teaching license.
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably working with K-8 students in multi-categorical settings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively partner with colleagues, administrators, and families.
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that ensure student success.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized and group instruction to support IEP goals.
• Adapt general education curriculum as needed to meet students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.
• Collaborate with paras and other assigned support staff in the classroom.
• Regularly communicate with guardians and school personnel regarding student performance and strategies for ongoing support.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives that support all learners.
