Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote work setting, allowing you flexibility in managing your schedule while still providing essential services. You will have access to our outpatient office for in-person group therapy sessions, enhancing collaboration and support among team members and clients. By utilizing technology, our therapists can effectively deliver in-home sessions, ensuring that therapy is accessible to those in need.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions within clients' homes or at our outpatient center, tailoring approaches to meet specific needs.
\n
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Implement strategies to mitigate high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression, through positive intervention methods.
\n
• Support youth and their caregivers in enhancing decision-making skills to address in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team to provide holistic support to youth and families.
\n
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, as mandated by regulatory standards.
\n
• Engage in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and treatment recommendations to improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children aged 3-20 who have developmental and intellectual disabilities, as well as their families. Your expertise will directly contribute to emotional, social, and psychological growth, facilitating positive outcomes for clients facing unique challenges. The focus on a bilingual client base (Spanish or Portuguese) adds an important dimension to the therapeutic process, ensuring language and cultural barriers do not hinder access to quality care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Holds a valid and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Colorado.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) is required, with additional weekend availability highly preferred.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for home visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting, is mandatory.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support.
\n
• Previous experience working specifically with children and teenagers with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus.

• Experience working in community outpatient settings and familiarity with therapeutic documentation standards.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 – 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our benefits package includes:
