Second-Shift Maintenance Technician - PLCs & Machinery

Maintenance Technician 3 (2nd Shift) Full Time – Cincinnati, OH, US Scope of Job: This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and skilled repairs on complex production equipment and systems. The technician follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness, performs failure analysis for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, logs modifications and details in the designated system, and adheres to all safety procedures. Work is performed independently within established job-specific procedures. Essential Job Functions Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment (e.g., conveyor systems, production equipment) using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment, in accordance with operation manuals and manufacturer specifications. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoot equipment downtime and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence. Train operators and other mechanics on proper procedures as needed. Attend company scheduled training classes. Comply with company and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Perform mechanical timing of equipment. Work with pneumatic systems in industrial applications. Read equipment diagrams and schematics. Troubleshoot PLC/Controls, with working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and Allen Bradley devices. Electrical troubleshooting. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Formal training in air conditioning, welding, machining, auto repair, electronics, or industrial mechanics is required. Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including high‑speed packaging or similar production settings. Additional years of experience may substitute for formal training.
