Job Profile Summary Performs intermediate to complex technical support, general lab maintenance, and lab operational support with some degree of independence to aid in research projects. Responsible for following lab safety standards. Job Description This position is for a research technician to support the goals of a grant projected funded by the National Institute on Alcohol and Alcoholism. The project involves intensive daily data collection across a 19‑month period. The position will support recruitment and retention of a sample of 150 ASU college students. Additional responsibilities include data management and preliminary data analyses and oversight of the project under the supervision of Dr. William Corbin. Position Salary Range $24.00 per hour. Essential Duties Overall monitoring of the project, recruitment, and tracking and retention of participants, data management and analysis. Communication with the ASU IRB and the funding source (NIAAA). Desired Qualifications At least one year of research experience and experience with project management. Experience with participant recruitment and retention, data management and analyses, and familiarity with tools such as RedCap, Qualtrics, Expiwell, SPSS. Working Environment Daily activities include regular meetings with Dr. Corbin’s research team, communication with the ASU IRB and funding source, recruitment, tracking, and retention of a sample of 150 college students. Once data collection begins, daily activities include setting up data repositories, assisting with data cleaning, and preliminary data analyses using software such as Qualtrics, Expiwell, RedCap, and SPSS.
