Staff or Senior Accountant (42924)

Our client is an organization in the Ozaukee County area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, has excellent communication skills, and is organized. This company offers internal growth opportunities, flexibility, and a collaborative team. This position is onsite.

The salary for this position is up to $85K - $90K.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and assigned month-end close activities.
• Assist with cost accounting analysis, financial reporting, and special projects.
• Support AR and AP process improvements, including clerical support as needed.
• Analyze and communicate monthly and annual financial statements accurately and timely.
• Assist with the annual audit process, including coordinating with external auditors and addressing required changes.
• Support annual budgeting, planning, and cash flow forecasting processes.
• Help update accounting policies, procedures, and business practices while supporting ad hoc finance requests.

The Staff Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Associate degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred, ideally within manufacturing and using IQMS ERP.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to set priorities and make sound decisions.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and multitasking skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
