Director of Operations Full Time Tampa, FL, US Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually About Millis Millis Development & Construction is a Texas-based general contractor specializing in the construction of quality landscape architecture and outdoor amenities. We’ve built a reputation for delivering complex, design-forward spaces for developers and municipalities across Texas. We are now expanding into this market. The Role This is a senior leadership role responsible for launching and running our preconstruction and construction operations. The Director of Operations will be responsible for building the local team, overseeing execution, and ensuring delivery meets our standards for safety, schedule, budget, and quality. Core Responsibilities Market Launch & Leadership Launch the division. Build and lead the organization. Team Development Build and lead local project teams with discipline and accountability. Project Execution Manage budgets, schedules, and quality on multiple projects throughout the Phoenix Metro Area. Quality & Safety Enforcement Set the tone. Enforce standards. Hold teams accountable. Client & Partner Engagement Build and maintain relationships with clients, critical subs, design teams, and authorities having jurisdiction. What We’re Looking For 5+ years in a construction leadership role Proven experience building and managing a strong team Comprehensive understanding of field operations, scheduling, and subcontractor management Experience with estimating and preconstruction planning Working knowledge of local codes, permitting, and trade base in Phoenix Metro Area.
