Location: Brooklyn, New York
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $100,000 per year

Join Our Team as Director of Maintenance

Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Maintenance to lead the daily operations of our Maintenance Department. In this leadership role, you will ensure the facility remains safe, compliant, and operating efficiently while overseeing preventative maintenance, repairs, life safety systems, and departmental staff. The ideal candidate is organized, knowledgeable in building operations, and committed to providing a safe environment for our residents and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department.

• Supervise, schedule, train, and support maintenance staff.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and life safety regulations.

• Conduct routine inspections of the building, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance and safety needs.

• Coordinate preventative maintenance programs for facility systems and equipment.

• Oversee repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects while minimizing disruption to resident care.

• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, warranties, preventative maintenance, and compliance documentation.

• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.

• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

• Respond to emergency maintenance situations and ensure timely resolution.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance leadership experience required.

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare, or long-term care setting preferred.

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.

• Familiarity with nursing home regulations, life safety codes, and compliance standards.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.

• Must be available to respond to emergency maintenance situations when necessary.
