Patient-Focused Care
Our Patient-Focused Care initiative employs a dual approach to address both the medical and behavioral aspects of opioid dependence. This Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) utilizes Methadone or Buprenorphine (also known as Suboxone) to manage a patient’s physical reliance on Opioids, complemented by collaborative Behavioral Counseling to address psychological dependence.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a Medical Director specializing in Addiction Medicine. The ideal candidate is a proactive and driven individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and will be a valuable addition to our team.
LocationDrivable Distance to Atlanta, Georgia - Specific Site Details will be given upon screening interested candidates.
Key Responsibilities of the Program Director include:
- Optimizing clinical and financial outcomes
- Overseeing the daily operations of an opiate treatment program
- Ensuring operational effectiveness
- Addressing urgent and emergent issues related to the treatment center outside of regular office hours
- Managing treatment center revenue collection to meet target rates and controlling expenditures within budgeted allocations
QUALIFICATIONS
Exceptional candidates for this role will possess:
- A proven track record of success in a professional clinical or medical setting
- A highly motivated, self-starting, and quick-learning disposition
- A history of exceeding client/team expectations
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
- Superior decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- A commitment to maintaining a high degree of accuracy and meticulousness
- Proficiency in problem analysis and evaluation
- Effective time management skills
- ABAM Certification or Eligibility
Essential Requirements
- Must hold a license to practice medicine or osteopathy in Georgia.
- Three years of documented experience in providing services to individuals with alcohol or other drug addictions, with one year of experience in opioid treatment.
- Board Eligible or certified and preferable two years of documented experience in treating individuals with alcohol or other drug addictions.
- Board Certification in addiction medicine and preferably fellowship trained.
