Job Title Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Clinical Decision Unit Location Asheville, North Carolina Schedule / Job Type Contract – 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit serving a mixed level of care including medical-surgical and step-down patients Manage care for short-stay patients with a length of stay under 24 hours in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment Monitor and interpret telemetry for all patients hardwired to bedside monitors as indicated Collaborate with charge nurses, fellow RNs, and CNAs across day and night shifts to maintain patient safety and quality outcomes Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR Float to other units within the facility as needed based on staffing requirements Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility Minimum of 2 years of Progressive Care (PCU/Step-down) experience Demonstrated telemetry competency Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) Preferred Experience / Skills Recent progressive care experience in a similar acuity setting Experience with Cerner EMR Positive, patient-experience-focused attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills Why Join Us Work at a nationally recognized, high-acuity regional referral center that has been identified among the top 1% of hospitals in the nation for clinical quality Join a team that values compassion, collaboration, and excellence in patient care within a Magnet-designated nursing environment Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 771106.
